I was sure I would dream about my mother last night…but instead I dreamt about Rory and Jess from “The Gilmore Girls”. I know that sounds incredibly stupid and girly –but I know where it came from. Seeing Rory take off for New York to visit this boy who’s been nothing but trouble for her….it is so something I would do – or would have done. I wouldn’t have thought twice before stepping on that bus.

And I would have hated myself a bit less than she did afterwards….

I would have been just as confused but equally stubborn in my belief that it was the right thing to do.
